The event, held on September 12, brought together a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including doctors, optometrists, nurses, and other health workers. They provided comprehensive health screenings to 98 registered individuals including staff and children at the Training Centre, addressing various health concerns and offering valuable health education.

In addition to the medical services, the Team also donated essential items to the school, including food, learning materials, footwear, clothing, toiletries, playing materials, and cash. These generous donations aimed to support the well-being and education of the students.

Furthermore, some members of Project Ghana, on seeing the physical challenges of the children at the centre promised linking the administration of Mephibosheth to some training organisations outside the country to enhance the skills and competence of the staff towards ensuring wholistic care and support for the children.

“This outreach strengthens our partnership with Mephibosheth Training Center, building upon our initial visit and reaffirming our commitment to the wellbeing and development of the children here”, said Dr. Emmanuel Boakye, President of AMC.

The event was well-received by the school, with many expressing gratitude for the medical care and donations. It was the first of its kind since the centre was established 20 years ago.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to AMC and Project Ghana for their support and care. Since their first visit, AMC has consistently demonstrated a steadfast commitment to our institution. On behalf of the children, parents, and entire staff, we express our deepest appreciation for your generosity and dedication”, said Rev. Jehu Appiah, Founder and Director of Mephibosheth Training Center.

This health expo marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership between AMC and Project Ghana, united in a shared vision of serving the community and sharing the love of Jesus through compassionate outreach and service.
